Venice Beach

Venice Beach, one of the world’s most iconic stretches of coastline, is an exciting and exuberant beach community which has been the setting for countless Hollywood productions. Properties in this enduringly popular neighborhood have become even more sought-after in recent years as tech industry leaders such as Snapchat and Google have set up in the area, carving out Venice Beach’s new reputation as “Silicon Beach”.

VENICE BEACH REAL ESTATE INSIGHTS

Venice Beach real estate includes a diverse mix of luxury apartments and unique beachfront bungalows, while the Venice Historic Canal District is home to quaint cottages and classically designed homes.

Venice Beach is an active real estate market, with prices rising as the area’s emergence as a tech hub adds to the desirability this already highly sought after community. The average price per square foot has risen by 24% over the last twelve months, reaching $1,440, while the median sales price for properties in Venice is $1,599,250.

PEOPLE & LIFESTYLE

Venice Beach is a famously eclectic community. The bright and colorful Boardwalk is one of Hollywood’s most frequently used filming locations, with countless movies using the thrilling backdrop of Muscle Beach, the Skate Dancing Plaza, bike trail, skate ramps, volleyball, handball, and paddleball courts to capture the essence of a quintessentially Californian beach scene. The Boardwalk is also home to scores of arts and crafts vendors, with street performers adding to the year-round energetic atmosphere for which Venice Beach is renown.

There is more to the neighborhood than the iconic stretch of Ocean Front Walk, however. Another celebrated local feature is the Venice Historic Canal District. This charismatic neighborhood is lined with waterways and the design is based on the charming Italian city from which Venice Beach takes its name.

Another hotspot is Abbot Kinney Boulevard, an ultra-hip street full of art galleries, restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and studios offering yoga and spinning classes. Residents and visitors alike come together on the first Friday of each month, during which the Boulevard’s stores stay open late, the streets come alive with live music performances and sections of this boulevard close off traffic allowing food trucks to assemble, providing a delightful and eclectic selection of exquisite cuisine.
